Christmas is coming...

Hmm, my watch shows its 4:50am, 15 December 09, 6 days already battery flat but I have not change it YET!. Not that I don’t want, but few shops that I went, they don't sell SWATCH battery. Unbelievable!! I thought that watch batteries are universal and even if there are differences, I would not burden an end user like me to find a replacement immediately! If Guinness World Book of record would accept this, I’m the man wearing a dead watch for 7 consecutive days. Few things which I did lately;
1. Bought New Jeans for Christmas
2. Bought New Shirts for Christmas
3. Cut short my hair
4. Die my hair darker brown
5. Had Dresden vaccinated at home

That’s it? Oh ok, only 1 items, not that much lah… I went to few shoe shops to get myself a new pair of sandals or shoes but yes, I’m so surprised!! Kuching have no shoes that suits my feet! I’m a size 11 or 45 but seem that the supplier did not order that size in a sufficient figure! I’m thinking of eating laksa now!
--- LUNCH----

Argh.. so sleepy now…. Thinking of take leave today but my work is like FOREVER!!! I need to arrange my holidays so that it would be balance and easy going!

Bah, i guess i need to stop here. I want to wish all the Christians out there a Happy Christmas and a blessed New Year 2010 and to those who have not achieve their goal, nevermind, there always be another year.. hehehe

See you soon!

Last week the Christmas Caroling started and my wife was actively involved in it. It started on Wednesday and ended just Yesterday, Sunday. Our house had it on Friday evening, which was purposely to be selected the last house of that day because plenty pf foods awaits everyone after the Christmas chorus. My dad did chicken in the bamboo and also pork in the bamboo. It was yummy and finger licking good! I think there were more than 40 of us at that time and everyone really enjoyed themselves that night. Oh yeah, I did bring my old friend Kenny along for the fellowship. Kenny is on a month holiday and he works with ONG and recites in Dubai with his wife. He stayed at the Pullman’s Hotel in Kuching. So after the eating, wines were served to each an individual who longed for it and few ladies at the bar really enjoying themselves that night, including my wife. Things getting more excited when the karaoke set was ON. Korno was the one who sang most songs. Everyone went back home after 1.30am. It was the best caroling for me compared to the previous years. Oh ya, that Friday was a public Holiday which made it more perfect!
On Saturday morning, wife and I went to the Spring for brunch and at 1.30PM we watched movie the Zombieland!!!! Hahaha, I loike that movie though it sounds rather stupid. I think that was the funny version of the 28 weeks later, I am legend and 28 days later. I give it a 6 over 10. Slightly low because there were so many censored part by our FINAS. Bad FINAS!! Lesson learnt from the movie, fat people are likely to be the zombies because they cannot run away fast from the zombie. So beware you people out there, if this thing likely to happen in Kuching, we, the Toda’s family will be the 1st zombie among all... hahahahaha!!. When the movie finished around 3.00pm, I drove immediately to King Center to ‘tapau’ fe packets of Mi kolok because we have visitors. When I arrived at home, the visitors were already there. It was raining so heavily at that time. Ps Henry and his lovely wife and their 3 children visited us emmm, maybe for their last time because they are going to be transferred to Lawas end of this year. I know Henry like Kolok Mi soooo much that’s why I bought some extra. I Knew him before he is married and that was in the middle of year 1995 of my semester break. I think he was just finish with his study at Buduk Aru in Bakalalan and he was just being appointed as a PIC of the St Faith Church, BM ministry by the Bishop of Kuching!

--------lunch------

Actually during lunch, I was thinking on what to write about Ps Henry. Like Trevor, I could write a bout about him. But I decide not to reveal anything here. Not on this blog. There were good times and also bad times but all worked for good to those who knew their God personally. If someone would write a book about me, Melcome perhaps, Ps Henry would be in a few chapters of it. It was 5.00pm and we need to go to church for our music practice. The heavy rains outside really signify the cry in my heart. After Trevor, Henry’s next. I know I don’t have the power to stop this but I have to live with it. But Ps Henry never change, he is still the prayer warrior! Before they made their move, they pray for our family. Even though now he is serving other church, he did not forget his old friends, old and young, unisex and multiracial. After a teddy bear hug and not forgetting the words of wisdom, they left our home around 5.10PM. I will see you again Pastor! See you soon

E Sharp Major ?

Wow, seems like years already didn’t update the blog. Actually many things happen but I don’t have time to blog over it. Last week, wife and I attended 2 weddings and skipped one. The morning wedding we attended was the son of Dr Elli’s which was hel at their own residency. Not so many guests or perhaps they were only the close relatives for both parties due to the limited compound which could accommodate certain amount of guests. I don’t know what was their intention, maybe for cost saving after the photo shot session in Bali?
The 2nd wedding was held at the Mandarin restaurant at Li Wah’s hotel. I think there were about 20 tables all together and my wife and I were at table 17 which was the most front table due to she was one of the mc that night. Being half deaf was a blessing that night for the audio speaker were really behind me! We didn’t buy gifts for these 2 couples but I just want to say welcome to the club and God bless your marriage until generations to come!
Adoi!, Pithui was sick, hit with flu and stomach ache. Pithui’s bestest friend, mom, yes my mother realized that she acted differently and didn’t have the mood to eat and play. Usually, Pithui would always walked into mom’s bed room and stretching her body from top to bottom and finally she will sleeps there until meal time. Yeah, she was predictable. I called my brother again yesterday to ask for her condition and Thank God, she’s doing well at home. Last Sunday we had our Christmas tree decorated and I think my brothers are starting to clean the house before the big day come. Hmm, sometimes Christmas come around far too quickly. The moment you were preparing the rendang, curry, lemang and ayam pansoh on Christmas eve, the clock is already striked 12.00, 25th December and some of us were at church while the others just stay at home with the family and within the next 24 hours, time will run so quickly, so envy of us but the fact, we could not control it nor to modify time. Personally, I have not plan anything yet. But I’m celebrating it at my parent’s house, unprepared to have it on my own.
Dresden is getting more like a watch dog but too bad, he is so much friendly to the outsiders. I afraid he will follow other people’s going home instead doing his duty to keep eye on our house! Never mind, what do you expect from a 9 weeks puppy? Yesterday he acted so differently. I afraid he got sick. Maybe tonight I’ll give him a nice hot bath. He did not sleep in the cage instead I release him free so that he can walked to and fro and watch over our home from any unwanted things. Good job Dresden! When I was at my brother’s clinic, Igat told me that my niece Megan went to see a specialist. What specialist I ask again! Oh, Megan was actually gone to the tailor. She is going to be in primary 1 next year but she could not find any pinafore suits her size! Alamak Megan! What happened to you???? Well actually it runs in the family! During our school years, all of us never ever had the chance to experience on wearing a factory outlet school uniforms because they were cut and design rather small and we were in a very good shape of American size! No worries Megan. Oh, don’t forget to put some glitters on your pinafore yeah.
I guess I need to stop here. Well at least I have some updates here. Oh last one, last Sunday my mind was playing this song by Dmassive, Cinta ini membunuh ku (This love is killing me) and it was still one of my favorite, so I sit on the chair with my wyes closed and suddenly I started to hum the melody and I didn’t know I was getting so loud until I verbally sing the lyrics out loud. When I open my eyes, every eye was at me. My goodness, I’m still at church is it?

DURIAN AND ITS HEALTH BENEFITS

I'm not sure how true this article is... let's be positive...

Durian is the Healing King of All Fruits

Durian is a little known fruit from Asia that has an extremely pungent
smell and an amazingly sweet taste. The smell of the durian fruit is so
bad that many hotels in the areas where durian grows will not allow
their guests to have the fruit in their rooms. But those who brave the
smell are quickly won over by its beautiful taste and amazing health
benefits. Unlike most fruits the durian is left to fall from the tree
as this is a sign that it is ripe to eat. People in the local villages
of South East Asia, where the durian is most common, call it "The King
of Fruits," and they will clear the floor under the trees near to
harvest time and then camp near them for up to two months just to make
sure they get the fruit at its peak. This is a truly exceptional and
healing fruit.

Health Benefits of Durian

Traditionally
the durian fruit was seen as a powerful aphrodisiac, while women would
eat the ashes from burnt durian skins to help them recover after child
birth. But concoctions made from the leaves of the durian tree were
also used to help reduce swelling and cure skin disease. More recently
nutritionists have claimed that the durian fruit can help lower
cholesterol and cleanse the blood as well as cure jaundice and
alleviate fevers.

Experts even say that you can rid yourself of
yeast infections such as thrush through eating the durian fruit. This
is because of the durian's high iron content that helps the white blood
cells in our body make specific chemicals that kill off the infection.

The durian is also packed with amino acids as well as Vitamins B, C and E
and many people are even comparing the sweet custard like centre of the
durian fruit to the goji berry for its high levels of anti oxidants.
These anti oxidants help slow down the destruction of cells from free
radicals such as pollution and smoking; in doing so, they decrease the
effects of aging on the skin giving you a younger more refreshed look.

Among
the amino acids found inside the durian is tryptophan. Tryptophan is
essential for making and maintaining serotonin levels in the body.
Serotonin is the hormone in the body that regulates our happiness.
People with low serotonin levels tend to have short tempers, are often
moody and suffer from depression. This means that not only will eating
the durian fruit help keep your body running smoothly but it will also
increase your general happiness and well being
