Me at Tax dept.

I took a half day leave today just to pay a visit to the LHDN at Ting Peng Khing's building. Earlier i received a registered letter form them saying that i underpaid them around RM1250 for the year 2008. That ammount is too much to me since i just got married, having my new life in my new house together with my wife and frankly it was not easy, not yet.. There are many more basic things which we need to buy for living. Yea, we both have commitments with the debts and the banks...
I parked my car nearby and brought all the documents to the office and Thank God, it was Friday and there were not even one person there, so i had all the privellege to be served immediately by one of the officer.

OFficer: Let me check what you have , sir
Me: ok, take your time

Though that chinese man is older than me, he was so polite serving me without fail to smile and giving me any data thru the computer everytime i asked for it. Reminder to all, everytime if you want to make andy claim, do not forget to maka a photocopy of any supporting document. I went out to search for the photostate machine along jalan tun jugah and Thank God, i found one. Ok, that shop is selling picture frames and the photocopy machine is just outside the shop. It is visible, ok. 3 copies , 20 cents. Ouch!! So i went back to the LHDN office, sat at the same seat and setle my things.

Officer: So, i need the photostated copy of every document that you have to support your request and i shall bring this up to the higher level.
me: Here it is.. So how much is the new value whichi still need to pay, sir?
Officer: Emmm, let me calculate first, emmm RM1025 plus this and that, mininus year 207 and 2008... .
Me: Wah. RM1025 is it? well at leat it is lesser compare to RM1250..
Officer: No sir, i think you only need to pay around RM125.++.
Me: What? RM125.?? YIPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

I shouted in the office so loudly with my hands lifted up while eveyrbody were looking at me as if i just won a free ticket to go to Ramah Tamah Aidilfitri with Hafiz AF7.... I think nobody understands how i feel that time, it was just like a burden being taken off from my shoudler. I don't have to pay so much actually due to miscalculations.
I left the office and went back home around 3pm. What a relief!
