Another Week

It was raining quite heavily last night. And it was chill. I love it so much. Last night was the 40th Anniversary of the St Faith. St Faith is a strong church, attended by many ethnics, ages and status. But the same reason why we go there is to worship the Lord Jesus.
The grand opening which was held at the 4 points by Sheraton with 100 tables fully occupied with the church members and visitors really brought me back to the past. I used to be one of these people in the front line but for the last 5 years, I was only the spectators. Actually I’ so happy of that because it shows that the church grows and there are more gifted and talented people serving the lord in their on majestically way! I’ve been there, done that and I know how it’s feel.

Thank you Jesus for giving me the opportunity to serve You said it’s time for me to go slow. Thank you Lord for supplying us more gifted people to serve you better as how YOU want. In Jesus name I pray. Amen

Just now a colleague from Sibu asked me about the Tun title and it’s characteristic. So we google it up in the net and found this.

Tan Sri? Tun? What do they mean?
You might have heard of “Tun Dr Mahathir” or “Tan Sri Vincent” and wondered what these titles really signify.

o “Tun” is the highest civilian honour that can be granted to a Malaysian while “Tan Sri” is the second-highest title. These titles are bestowed by the King on the recommendation of the federal government and are controlled. They do not exceed a certain number at any one-time.

o To date, a total of 500 “Tuns” and “Tan Sri’s have been given out to Malaysians in Malaysia.

o There are currently 36 surviving Tuns and 458 Tan Sris.

The “Tun” title is further subdivided into two categories. The first is limited to 25 people and the second to not more than 35 people at any one time. So far only 14 people have been granted the title of Tun and 22 people in the latter category, which brings it to a total of 36 “Tuns” in Malaysia.

Criterion for Tuns are;
Ø They should be exceptional in their field,
Ø They should have contributed to the country,
Ø They must be influential.

There are also 2 Tan Sri categories; one bestowed on 75 people and the other 550 people.
